Across The Divide - Soul Connections

So is it sex, lust, love, or something much deeper, something that can cross the divide of time and death itself? What are we truly feeling and experiencing at times? And how can we possibly tell the difference?

Across The Divide - Soul Connections

I make no secret of the fact that my books are highly explicit when it comes to the sex scenes.  As you can imagine this tantalises some people, disturbs others and very possibly lumps me in the category of trash fiction. It's a big step to take when writing romantic fiction, that step beyond the bedroom door, that step into visualising in the reader's mind, what takes place on such an intimate level between the characters.

And of course as an author I get the usual raised eyebrows. Oh you write about sex do you?

Grow up please! I don't say that, but yes I do think it - a lot of the time!

So is it sex, lust, or something much deeper, something that can cross the divide of time and death itself? What are we truly feeling and experiencing at times? And how can we possibly tell the difference?

This is what I write about in my romances, these deep mystical unions that defy common sense, or any kind of tick list you might come across on a dating app!

In The Wolves That Lie Within, Daisy encounters first of all the mysterious and magical Sean, clearly no ordinary character, and as such, theirs is clearly no ordinary connection. She then meets Robbie; a man with so many red flags that you would absolutely swipe right with him, no matter how sexy and good looking he is. But there is the notion of a Romany curse attached to Robbie and the idea that only Daisy can save him.

Have you ever tried to save a soul with your love?

I have.

It's heart breaking.

In A secret Love for Eve, there is the contrast between her rebellious fling with Tim which shocks her family and the village of Maypoleton, and her love for Jem. The connection between them defies all logic and earthly understanding.

A Twin Flame For Fae clearly delves into the concept of twin flames, a soul divided into two, destined to keep meeting until lessons are learnt. Again there is contrast in the two romances for Fae. The earthy, lust based affair with Matt and the tangled web of emotions she feels for Gawain, the man who she is drawn to against all her wishes, because of that inexplicable soul tie.

So not just sex then.

It's way more than that.

It's about that deepest, most fragile, vulnerable and dangerous part of ourselves that some people may never tap into and discover.

Whilst for others, me included, it becomes a part of our soul path which is both shattering and enlightening at the same time.

Maybe now you can understand a little more why and how I write the way I do.
